Doorbell Camera Disconnects When Rung

I have a SimpliSafe Doorbell connected to my home's installed doorbell wiring. The camera has good wi-fi connection speed/strength, and I can get livestreaming on it as needed. 

The problem is when someone rings my doorbell. The doorbell chime sounds, but the camera loses wi-fi connection and I can't talk to anyone through it. This only happens when someone rings the bell. I'm not sure about the transformer voltage or current, I'm still trying to get access to the box. 

Anyone have any similar issues and a solution?
