Does the camera record video without wifi?
If we have a system in a house with a base station and no wifi will the indoor camera capture video if the alarm goes off even if we can't view it immediately?

No, the camera does not "record video" at all. It sends it to Simplisafe to record - using WiFi. So no WiFi, not only no recording, but no viewing either.
