Camera will NOT connect to WiFi after power outage

I have tried dozens of times to get my camera to connect to WiFi again after we had a 3 hour power outage.  It recognizes the QR code, but just can't connect to my WiFi.
I have tried unplugging it for over 30 min., removing the camera and installing as a 'new' camera.
This is driving me crazy!  If I move it closer to my WiFi (other side of wall in the next room), then when I unplug it, won't it do the same thing again?
It's been working FINE for 2 months!

What do you mean by moving it closer to wifi?  Does this fix the problem when you try it?  Normally if the cam is working fine it will not need to reconnect after a power failure.  It should save those settings.  If moving it closer to wifi does not help I would contact SS to troubleshoot as the camera could be damaged.  Power failures can cause damage to electronics when they occur.
What I meant was I read to move the camera closer to my WiFi to connect, then move it to where you want.

I agree, it should have saved everything and connect no problem.  I will call support now.  I  did have a dead motion sensor when I purchased.

Thanks for your help!

Good luck!  They were closed yesterday due to that east coast storm so the call center might be extra busy today.  Just a heads up.
I waited almost 30 min.  OF COURSE the lady wanted to 'troubleshoot', even though I HAD done everything under the sun.  I get it, they are told to...but I am pretty tech savvy and well....OK....so I get to the camera AND GOT DISCONNECTED!!!

Holy crap....I call back again and this time decide to leave a message for them to call me.  Just a few min ago they called....BUT I COULD NOT HEAR THEM!!
They called twice and then my cell....I guess they looked up my number or something.  So, now I left another message.

I'm SO frustrated!!

may not apply... but if you happen to have a wifi with 2 or more channels (e.g., 2.4 and 5.1 Ghz)... just be sure your cell phone, SS and cameras are all on same channel......  Sometimes on power outages some equipment will reset to another channel...  I don't think SS will work on the 5Ghz  channel
Thanks.  I don't think I have 5Ghz...and even though I'm pretty tech savvy, not sure how to check.  I do know we did have to have AT&T reset mine to a different channel when we got it 2 yrs ago due to all the new homes that went up in my neighborhood.

Is there a quick way I can check to see if all are on the same channel??

Thanks!!

on your computer.. somewhere on the screen (usually bottom right for Windows).. there the sign for wifi connections (looks like 1/4 of a "radar" signal sort of)... you can check what wifi connections are running in your area and what you are connected to.   On SS desktop check under Settings>System.   and check your cell phones settings to see which wifi network you are on.   your Cell and SS have to be on same wifi when setting-up the camera....

p.s.... I meant 1.5 Ghtz... (not 5.1)  good luck...
Thank you again!
Yes, all my devices are on the same network.  I assume that means the same 'channel' you were referring to?
I'm going to call them AGAIN.
