Camera motion notification every time we turn off alarm from “Home”
For context, there’s a camera facing towards the living room, where the touchpad is.
Every morning when my wife or I turn off the alarm (going from “Home” to “Off”) the camera briefly turns on starts recording and sends a notification “Living Room Camera” detected motion” to our devices.
If the system is in “Home” setting, the motion detection shouldn’t be active, same thing with the “Off” setting of course. So why does it activate and send the notification when I turn the system off every morning? The same thing happens when we return home and switch from “Away” to “Off”.
Let me know what you think. Love the system otherwise. Thanks!

Hi @stileswolfmobile ,
This is intended behavior. It's not really a "motion" notification per se, but a recording triggered by the system disarm.
Don't forget that camera recordings are fully encrypted in transit and at rest, and are locked away so that nobody (not even our own staff) can access without your permission. And of course, you can always delete each video from the timeline, if you would like.

Ah, I didn’t know that was intended behavior. I’m not sure why it would turn the camera on briefly when disarming from Home to off, but ok.
I think that the camera activation (briefly) and any worries about privacy are less of a concern than the daily unnecessary notification. Of course I don’t want to turn off notifications in case there’s an actual emergency, but the daily useless notifications are annoying and deliver kind of a Boy Who Cried Wolf result.

A motion notification after unarming has been standard. Just started today I get MANY notifications after disarming. It won’t stop! Whenever there’s motion, system off, it sends a notification and records. I can turn off notifications for annoying beep but what happened?

I agree. The camera taking pics for 1 min after disarming in home or away mode should be optional. I disarming generates two video clips that have to be removed. So if I go in and out of my home a few times a day and have to disarm including in the morning after Home, I will have to spend time erasing the videos. To make matters worse, there is still no bulk erase to select all of these videos and delete in one shot.
Recommendation: Make videos for disarming selectable by Alarm Mode (including not having them at all). Make length of video user settable (so could do say 20 seconds only). And put in a bulk delete of videos.
Please and thank you

I agree - this should be an optional thing. I don’t want a video clip every time I switch off the alarm.

When your system is set to Off, aren't the outdoor cameras supposed to stop detecting motion until set back to Home or Away? I get tired of having to turn off motion detection on each individual camera.
