Camera Motion Detection

The privacy shutter is supposed to be closed in Home mode. But I'm getting motion alerts from the camera and video recordings. Why?

Hi jeremyblm,

Right, the camera should be following the shutter setting, and should not be triggering recordings while the shutter is closed. Are you seeing a pattern of when the Motion alerts are happening? For example, if you're seeing them after every time you disarm the system, that would be normal.

Yes, it gets triggered when I disarm the system. How can I turn that off?

@jeremyblm you can set the privacy guard position for "off", "home" and "away" modes in the settings area in the phone app or in the dashboard on the website.  I have mine on open for all three, as the doorbell and 3 simpliscams are all on the fist floor, all bedrooms on the 2nd.   Note that the settings can be different for each camera.

jeremyblm,

Recordings whenever your system is disarmed is unfortunately a core function, and currently cannot be configured. The shutter setting is specifically for motion events while the system is already in a given mode.
But there will also still be recordings when there's system activity - like when there's a disarm, a power outage, or an actual alarm event.
