Camera disconnecting

I am also having the same problems. For 3 years. I had a wireless connect camera on my garage Right outside my office with the router. I had no problems. This past year the camera keeps disconnecting. I have had a lot of calls with SS support. They even sent me new cameras to replace the two one outside and one inside that kept dropping. I've replaced the cameras. This seems to work for a month. Maybe sometime shorter and they keep dropping Wi-Fi again. The only solution to this is getting on a ladder and removing my wireless camera from my garage, resetting it to the Wi-Fi and reinstalling it. I'm tired of climbing a ladder every other week. This camera is not too far from the Wi-Fi. When you do a system check in their app it shows a great connection speed. If I'm standing out side beside the camera I can see full Wi-Fi on my phone. I have loved SS until now. I'm getting ready to change to a different provider. The camera on the garage is useless if it's not recording. That's why we bought it. After reading all the comments that are the exact same. It cannot just be me.

Hi @curtisfamily4,

I'm sorry to hear about all of this trouble! How close is the Outdoor Camera on your garage to your Wi-Fi router? If the camera is anywhere from 1-5 feet away from the router, it may help to move the router a little further away, if possible.

And to free up bandwidth and reduce congestion on your Wi-Fi network, it can help to create a guest Wi-Fi network locked at 2.4GHz and connect only your SimpliSafe devices to it. This will ensure that your cameras can function without potentially getting disrupted by other Wi-Fi-enabled devices on your network.

My sunroom camera disconnects on its own? It happens every few months?
