Text when door opens

Is it possible to have a text sent when a door opens regardless of the mode? And not using secret mode. It would be nice to know when doors open no matter if it's off, home, or away. Seems like it should be easy to do, all other systems I've had he done this.

If i am correct it will not do it when off it has to be armed and then you can have the sensor set for secret alert and you will know but if the alarm is on and that sensor is triggered it will not set off the alarm just send you text. If im wrong someone will chime in.

You can set text alerts for all three modes (home, away, and off) with SS3 but only for home and or away with SS2. I have all of my sensors set to send an alert when the system is off.

@txuser I must be missing something. I have SS3 and haven't found a way to do this. When set to home or away, I can get a text only after the alarm delay
countdown has expired and alarmed triggered for the sensor. Not immediately upon the door opening. For off mode, I can set the sensor to secret, which definitely will send a text immediately upon open, but then it doesn't do a chime when the sensor opens then. What am I missing? I simply want a text when any sensor opens regardless of mode. I don't want to compromise a chime not occurring to do this. Is it possible? It seems to basic but I'm striking out lol. Thx

@txuser, glad someone chimed in with that as i wasn't sure about when its off because i only care if its on then i want to know but i would love to have the base station say which sensor is open when system is off, like front door.

In my experience, with SS3, it only mentions open sensors when setting to away or home, and then, it will only name the specific sensor if only one is open. If multiple are open, it says something like multiple sensors are open. Otherwise, I think there's just a chime when door/window sensors open, but you can always see the actual name on the text alert or app notification.
