Just setting up my system. I installed all 19 sensors. How to I match a serial number listed in device settings to a sensor location so I can give it the proper name?

@breeves2245 There is a bit of art to getting this done, and its not that hard if you think about it before installation. Now that your system is up, it is a bit more tedious but will telll you how I did mine and how to keep it updated.
First, log into your website dashboard and go to devices. Move your mouse pointer to the name field of the sensor you want to rename and click on it. (You can find the serial number to the right) Change the name here to whatever you want, but keep all of the name formatting the same. Example: DR for door, BM for basement, BR for bedroom etc. Also, keep the type of sensor out of the name, just wastes characters. As you go, enter into in excel spreadsheet. You can add date installed, last battery change, next battery change est etc. If you need more assistance, call SS support.
Now to Simplisafe: Yes, SS3 has improved but I, and others, have been asking for 10 years to allow an export of the sensor list to excel, CSV etc so customers can have this as an opton. Can't be that hard to do.
