Entry Sensor Installation on Basement Window

After almost 3 1/2 years my basement window entry sensor (SS3) almost fell off. The magnet is installed on the metal  beam on top and the main body of the sensor was on the glass, both with the supplied 3 strips.  The window tape had been losing its grip within the first year so I used 3M command strips that lasted much longer. Looking for installation suggestions: how would you mount the main sensor body on the glass?

I would mount it just the way you did originally.  If you get another 3 1/2 years you'll probably be ready for new, upgraded sensors as these sensors will be 7 years old.   If you want an extra margin of safety put a thin bead of silicone adhesive around the perimeter of the sensor (in addition to the Command strip).  I wouldn't over think it (but you will! LOL).

@ronsec, you know me too well. Silcone adhesive is probably a good idea, just on the back plate so I can slide it off if I need too. Thanks!
