Different FCC ID numbers for the same sensor models... what's it mean?
I noticed that my previous system, the FCC ID number on the back of the sensors ended in 3001. My new system, they end in 3000. Is there any meaningful difference? Does it mean the sensors run on different frequencies? Can any current SS3 base station support and work properly with any Gen 3 sensor regardless of its FCC ID?

@Boring_Joe All SS3 sensors work with the SS3 base to date. Yes, if you visit the FCC site there are now several new devices listed. As far as the differences in numbering and, more importantly, in the sensors themselves, don't know and will probablly not know unit SS officially releases the devices. One can determine on one of them, I believe, there is a new smoke or Co sensor in the works. If this is correct, it is sound logic, at least to me, both that new sensor and the previous models will continue to work with the SS3 base.
Now enter a SS admin or, gasp, maybe even a product manager to this thread......c'mon, give us customers a thrill....

@Boring_Joe,
Which sensors are you seeing these differing FCC ID numbers on?
