I'm moving and NOT taking my system with me

If you’d like to leave your system for the next owner or plan to sell your system and get yourself set up with a brand new SimpliSafe system at your new location, just give us a call and we can help you cancel your service for the current system/location.
The new resident will simply need to create an account and activate their own service for the system. Just make sure you let your realtor and the new resident know that you’re leaving the system behind, and make a list of all the sensors so the new resident can find them. The sensors will stay connected to the Base Station and Keypad for easy adoption by the new residents.
You’ll also need to make sure that any Smart Locks and cameras are removed from your system——this includes any Video Doorbells, Indoor Cameras, and Outdoor Cameras. This will ensure that the new owner of the system can properly add these devices to their own account.
To remove devices being separated from the SimpliSafe system, follow these steps in your mobile app:

Device Settings OR Camera Settings
Select the device
Tap the red Remove Device option at the bottom of the screen
Repeat for each sensor, Smart Lock, and camera being separated from the Base Station
Also keep in mind that your Keypad and Base Station know each other, so keeping them together will allow the system to work best and let new residents/owners to set up their system more easily with a Base Station and Keypad pair.
