Water Sensor

How Does the Water Sensor Respond During an Alarm

The Water Sensor will sound the alarm when it detects water in its chamber. This could be the result of a small leak, or something more dangerous like flooding within your home or business.

Depending on your monitoring plan (opens in new tab), you may receive push notifications (opens in new tab) and a phone call in the event this alarm sounds. The call is placed to all Emergency Contacts (opens in new tab) until the alarm is handled. If no contacts answer, don’t worry - this call is simply a courtesy from the monitoring centre to alert you of the active situation. It does not result in dispatch to your system’s location.

We encourage you to save the monitoring centre numbers (opens in new tab)to your phone. The numbers in which Securitas call you from:

  • Securitas will contact you from: 0330 184 0444

  • You can contact Securitas on: 0303 330 0369

  • Test Mode Automated Call: 01908 644505

Once saved to your phone, you’ll also want to allow us access to bypass Do Not Disturb and Silent Profiles (opens in new tab). This allows for Critical Alarm Notifications to get through to you, regardless of your phone’s volume or profile status.
