Hi all,
I have heard back from our Product team, and as I suspected, the Trouble Signal part of the requirements for the SimpliSafe system to meet the UL-985 standard. So unfortunately, that would be the reason why the setting can only be disabled while you are present at the property (via the Keypad).
For that reason, this feature request is Not In Development.

Thanks, Captain.
Yes, right now, the way the Trouble Signal Settings are set up is intentional, since it relates to how the system complies with UL-985. But I'll bring this up with our dev team!

Once or twice a year we start getting the trouble signal every few minutes from the base station. It's so hard to figure out what the problem is and the constant beeping is super annoying. Each time it happens I bring up the app and try to remember how to figure out what's wrong and the app just doesn't help!
I finally found a web page that recommended using the entry pad. I checked that and finally figured out that we had a low battery in one of the glassbreak sensors. That's really non-intuitive as we only use the keypad to turn the system on and off and rely on the app for interacting with the system.
I found these links in the support pages which were misleading as I didn't have any devices
marked as not responding or offline.

These links say the trouble signal is caused by devices not responding, but from what we see it also happens on low battery and is not marked in the app.
This should be considered a normal event, needing to be handled, but not beeping every few minutes non-stop, which is particularly annoying for the non-tech spouse that doesn't want to deal with scrolling through app screens trying to find the problem.
In the process of resolving this I've turned off the trouble signal, which is probably a bad idea as we won't get warned next time, but it was driving my spouse crazy and I had to turn it off!
Why can't you send us a text msg telling us which sensor is low? You send us text msgs about all kinds of other events.
