Updated
At SimpliSafe®, we are committed to keeping your home or business safe, which is why we have our SimpliSafe® Excess Payback as part of our Pro Premium monitoring plan.
If you are subscribed to this plan and your home or business was broken into while your system was armed, SimpliSafe® will pay up to £350 towards your compulsory insurance excess if you qualify.
How do I know if I qualify?
If your home or business was broken into, you may qualify for a reimbursement on your insurance claim if you meet the following requirements:
You are subscribed to Pro Premium monitoring plan
You have at least one Outdoor Camera
Your system was armed in Home Mode or Away Mode at the time of the break-in
Entry into your home or business happened through a door or window that had an Entry Sensor on it.
See our website for full Terms and Conditions.
What happens if the value of stolen items exceeds the £350 excess coverage?
If the total value of your stolen items exceeds the £350 deductible coverage, the Excess Payback will cover up to £350 of the deductible portion. Any remaining value beyond that would fall under your homeowner’s or renter’s insurance policy.
What happens if the value of stolen items is below the £350 excess coverage?
If the total value of your stolen items is less than £350 but you still choose to make an insurance claim we would reimburse up to £350 for the compulsory excess part of your insurance costs only.
Do I need to submit an insurance claim?
SimpliSafe®’s Excess Payback is designed to help if your system is armed and fails to trigger during a covered break-in. We may reimburse up to £350 toward your insurance compulsory excess if certain conditions are met. One of those conditions is that an insurance claim has been filed. Whether or not you choose to file a claim is your decision. If you’re unsure how a claim might affect your coverage or premiums, we recommend checking in with your insurance provider. We’re here to walk you through our process whenever you’re ready.
Can I use the Excess Payback multiple times?
The Excess Payback is limited to one claim per system location per calendar year.
