Does the Smart Lock PIN Pad disarm the alarm for my system?

The Smart Lock’s PIN Pad functions similarly to the Keypad. For example, entering the Master PIN (opens in new tab) or any Custom PIN (opens in new tab) will disarm the system. If you are subscribed to a monitoring plan (opens in new tab) that includes 24/7 emergency dispatch and enter your Duress PIN (opens in new tab), we’ll request dispatch from the police immediately (and disarm your system to fool intruders). 

Note that the Smart Lock’s PIN Pad will not arm your system, it will only disarm it. This avoids the hassle of having to disarm your system each time you enter or exit the house. 

Pressing the Lock button on your Smart Lock’s PIN Pad will lock your Smart Lock, but it will not arm your system.
