Why Can't I Use the SimpliSafe® Mobile App to Turn Off Life Safety Alarms?
In the event that your Smoke Detector, Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector, or Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarm Listener triggers a smoke alarm, you can only cancel the alarm event by entering your Master PIN (opens in new tab) or Custom PIN (opens in new tab) on your Keypad, or over the phone when our monitoring agents contact your first Primary Contact (opens in new tab).
Please note that you cannot use the SimpliSafe® Mobile App to cancel smoke alarms. This is due to UL regulations that prohibit the ability to remotely cancel smoke alarms; which is a feature with your safety in mind to ensure that you never accidentally cancel a true smoke alarm.
