SimpliCam® Wired Indoor Camera Installation Guide

The SimpliCam® alerts you the instant it detects motion so you can see what’s happening and take action through its 2-way audio. Enhance your recordings and get unlimited access to your timeline with select professional monitoring plans.

Before Getting Started

You will need to have a 2.4GHz network connection available to complete the setup of this camera. 

After taking your camera out of the box, we recommend you thread the cord through the stand, plug it into the camera, put the camera on the stand, and plug it into the power source.

Not Connecting After the Install? 

If your SimpliCam® is not connecting after you install it, you should check its connection strength by using the Connection Check tool within the SimpliSafe® mobile app by taking the following steps:

  1. Tap the “Cameras” icon at the bottom of the SimpliSafe® mobile app

  2. Choose the gear icon in the upper right corner

  3. Select your camera

  4. Under “Connection” select “Connection Check”

  5. Tap “Start Connection Check” to find your camera’s connection strength

Using your results, you can improve your SimpliCam® Wired Indoor Camera’s connection with the tips below.

Camera Requirements: 

  • Upload speed needs to be above 2Mbps for 720p video

    • If your upload speed is below 2Mbps, you may need to contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to upgrade your internet package.
