How To Update Your Monitoring Address

You can easily update your address for Professional Monitoring at any time using the SimpliSafe® Mobile App or Online Account.

For customers residing in Puerto Rico: you will need to make sure to use the physical address of where your system is installed, not a mailing address or P.O. Box. If your full address doesn’t fit in the field, enter the complete physical address in your Dispatch Notes. If you are in a rural area, please also include points of reference. This ensures our monitoring agents and emergency responders can reach your property quickly in an emergency.

SimpliSafe® Mobile App:

  1. Open the SimpliSafe® Mobile App (opens in new tab) on your phone or tablet

  2. Choose My System from the navigation bar at the bottom of the app

  3. Next, select Location Settings (opens in new tab) from the menu

  4. Tap on Address

  5. Enter your address in the fields provided

  6. Choose SAVE in the upper right corner of the screen to save your selections

    1. You may need to confirm your address on a pop-up. This is standard address validation to ensure your address is correct in the event you require emergency services to be dispatched to your location

SimpliSafe® Online Account:

  1. Head over to the SimpliSafe® Online Account (opens in new tab) using the browser of your choice

  2. Click on Monitoring from the left-hand navigation menu

  3. Under Monitored Address input your new address into the fields, or select an address from the Saved Address dropdown menu

  4. Once you have filled out this information, scroll down and select the Save button at the bottom of the right-hand corner

Schedule Your Address Change Ahead of Time

If you know you will be moving soon, our Support team can schedule this update to your monitoring address up to 3 months in advance! Reach out to our Support team (opens in new tab) and let them know the date you are moving so they can schedule this change for you ahead of time.

Do I Need a Permit?

You’ll also want to double-check to see if your new address requires a permit (opens in new tab)for your SimpliSafe® system. You can check at any time from within the SimpliSafe® Online Account (opens in new tab)by going to Monitoring > Alarm Permit Requirements.
