How do I Re-Enter Practice Mode?

If you are subscribed to one of our professionally monitored plans and are looking to learn more about your system and practice an alarm without fear of emergency services getting dispatched to your home or business, you can re-enter Practice Mode at any time.
To Re-Enter Practice Mode*:
Open the SimpliSafe® app on your phone or tablet
Choose My System from the bottom navigation bar
Select Location Settings
Choose Try Practice Mode
Then, you can then set your account in Practice Mode for as few as 15 minutes, or up to 8 hours
Your account will automatically resume to being professionally monitored when that pre-selected time duration expires, or you can return to the same steps above and select End Practice Mode when you are done learning about your system.
Practice Mode is a great way to build confidence in how to use your system and gain a deeper understanding on what causes an alarm to trigger and how to cancel an alarm or request help so you are prepared in case of an actual alarm.
Note: Active Guard Outdoor Protection services are not active when your system is armed and in Practice Mode, even when you are within Outdoor Protection service hours. Motion events will be marked as “In Practice Mode” by our monitoring center and are not engaged with during Practice Mode.
*This feature is only available once we have onboarded you into our system and you are ready to be professionally monitored. If you are within the first 72 hours of being a SimpliSafe® customer and do not see this section in the app, please wait and check back later. We are likely still onboarding your account.
