Exit and Entry Delay Settings & Customizations

Your SimpliSafe® System can be customized to change the amount of time before the alarm sounds when your system is in an armed state. There are four different options that you can choose from when customizing your sensors:
Exit Delay, Home
The amount of time before the system becomes armed in Home Mode when you press the ‘Home’ button on your Keypad or within the SimpliSafe® Mobile App or SimpliSafe® Online Account. The default is 0 seconds, but this can be increased up to 4 minutes 15 seconds.
Exit Delay, Away
The amount of time before the system becomes armed in Away Mode when you press the ‘Away’ button on the Keypad or within the SimpliSafe® Mobile App or SimpliSafe® Online Account. The default is 60 seconds and can be adjusted to as low as 45 seconds, or a maximum of 4 minutes 15 seconds. If you open a door with an entry sensor, this countdown will restart.
Entry Delay, Home
This setting controls the amount of time before your system’s siren sounds and the monitoring center is notified when an active sensor is tripped when in Home Mode. The default is 30 seconds, and this can be adjusted between 0 seconds and 4 minutes 15 seconds.
Entry Delay, Away
This setting controls the amount of time before your system’s siren sounds and the monitoring center is notified when an active sensor is tripped in Away Mode. The default for this is 30 seconds and can be adjusted up to 4 minutes 15 seconds.
