Extra Siren Batteries are Dying Quickly

The Extra Siren takes four (4) AA Alkaline batteries and has a life expectancy of 1 year, depending on placement and usage. If you find that your Extra Siren’s batteries drain quickly, despite the device not being in use often, you may need to adjust its placement.
We recommend installing the Extra Siren in a location that is away from other devices that emit a wireless signal. Some devices to look out for are listed below, but please note that this is not an exhaustive list:
Smart TVs
Wi-Fi Routers
Gaming consoles
Wireless soundbars
Baby monitors
Cordless phone bases
For best results, mount the Extra Siren at least 3-10 feet away from devices that emit a wireless signal. To reduce interference, we also recommend mounting the Extra Siren on an open wall with a clear line-of-sight, and keeping it away from large metal surfaces and dense wiring clusters.
