How To Find or Change Your Safe Word

We take your security very seriously, so whenever we speak with you, we will ask for your Safe Word to confirm your identity. This is to ensure that someone else is not trying to gain access to your system or account, or disarm your system.

How To Find Your Safe Word

You created the Safe Word when you set up monitoring for your system. If you have forgotten your Safe Word, you can view it via your online account on this page of the web app, or by following the steps below in the mobile app.

  1. In the SimpliSafe mobile app, open the Menu by tapping the three-bar ≡ icon

  2. Select ‘Location Profile’

  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and tap the line reading ‘Safeword’ to reveal your Safe Word

How To Change Your Safe Word

If you would like to change your Safe Word, you can do so by following the steps below in the mobile app.

  1. In the SimpliSafe mobile app, open the Menu by tapping the three-bar ≡ icon

  2. Select “Location Profile”

  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and tap the line that says “Safeword” to change yours

  4. Be sure to tap “Save” on the top right side of the screen when you are done
