If you are consistently seeing a warning that one of your Entry Sensors is open, despite all of your doors and windows being closed, one of the following items is likely the cause:
- Your Entry Sensor is too far away from its corresponding magnet piece.
- Your Entry Sensor (or its corresponding magnet) is placed on a metallic surface, and the magnet is consequently not working correctly with the Entry Sensor itself.
Make sure that your Entry Sensor and its magnet are never more than 2 inches apart. It’s best to keep the two pieces as close together as possible. If the door/window where this issue is occurring is metal, place a buffer between the magnet (the smaller part of the sensor) and the door. We recommend using an extra adhesive or two.
