You will find your answer to your first question on this best buy link.  As far as the 2nd, you are out of luck because with the echo you can only do two things: 1. arm the system and 2. confirm the alarm is armed.  When you think about the security implications, you may well think this is a good thing.

Hi dr.robert,

As the captain hints at above, yes, SimpliSafe features a door chime, through both the Base Station and all connected Wireless Sirens.

On the second question, when subscribed to Interactive Monitoring, you'll be able to connect your system to Amazon's Alexa for voice activated arming. But no, there's no function that allows non-SimpliSafe components from also acting as speakers.

@dr.robert I believe you will enjoy your system. One tip: the new help center is very good, but if you have questions best to just pick up the phone and call support. They are a friendly bunch and do try hard to  solve your issue(s). Best of luck with your new system.

I hope you considered the number of individual PINS and the single account login for remote access personnel. Those two are often bones of contention for business users or people with many people needing to disarm the system for entry.
