Notification details within app

Feature suggestion for SimpliSafe app:

I regularly get notification badges on my SimpliSafe app alerting me that there is a notification. However, SimpliSafe never created any sort of notification system within the app to actually show you what you are being notified of. I do not use banner notifications or pop-ups on my phone for any app at all.  Without banner notifications, users do not know what the notification is for unless it is badged Inside of the app too or there is some banner or inbox within the app that tells you what the notification is. You all do have an inbox, but I only get very specific rare messages there, I think I’ve only gotten one in the several weeks I have owned the system compared to the dozens and dozens of badge notifications I have received on the app icon on my Home Screen.  

So, quite literally, I have no idea what any notification has ever been for. For any person that has notification pop-ups and banners disabled, like myself, your app essentially has no notification system. It just lets me know that *something happened* and I’ll just look around and see if I can find anything that looks new or interesting that might have been the reason it notified me.

Request: please add a feature within the app to display what the notifications are. No other app I’ve ever used, especially one that provides critical information about someone’s security, relies entirely on system notifications to display their messages and information, without any way to see it from the actual service provider within the app.
