Second Key Fob

I purchased a second key fob in June and now it is dead.  I can't find a way to change the battery.  Any suggestions?

@ deecolker you couldn't find it because you can't change the battery -- or at least it was designed that way on purpose.  Call SS and they will send you a new one at nc.

You can open it.  Look at the seams and you'll be able to tell which piece should come off.  Push down on that part and slide it away from the key ring.  It should slide open.  There's a 3 volt CR1032 battery in there, at least if you have the original system.

@michael_greco the Original SimpliSafe's Key Fobs do indeed have a replaceable battery. You'll just need to remove the cap, then slide out the cover panel.

However, the Gen 3 SimpliSafe's Key Fob is even more slim, and does not have a replaceable battery. Our Support team can help with replacements.

Hi @ehallf10,

You'll just need to connect it to your system to start using! You can do this with our app or with the Keypad.
