I contacted Nord VPN with my app issue. They told me to turn off Threat Protection Lite in my profile. I did and the SimpliSafe app immediately started working properly.
Okay, that worked, BUT, we should not have to give up any VPN protection to make SimpliSafe work like it should!!! It defeats the purpose of having a fully functional protection app. SimpliSafe still needs to fix this issue!

Am currently using Nord VPN. I had no problem using the Simplisafe app before. The problem only started about a week or 2 weeks ago. Maybe the recent updates have caused the App not to work with VPN?
Exactly same problem with me. Nord VPN and Simplisafe app both worked fine together for years. But recently, Simplisafe app only works if VPN turned off.
Same issue as others on here. Recently, the iOS app stopped working correctly when my NordVPN is on. I use NordVPN as part of my online security measures. I would expect that a security company would both recommend the use of security measures and ensure their app works well with them. Please address this issue that seems to have been created by SimpliSafe.

I’m looking at switching my ring system over to SimpliSafe but before I do that I need to make sure I’ll be able to open all movement notifications from my cameras while using NordVPN or any other vpn for that matter.
@generalpatton022 It appears that this problem may have been resolved on Nord VPN's side. You should be able to access the SimpliSafe mobile app with this VPN on your device.
